The diary of a (not so) desperate housewife
Dear diary,
Friday, lovely day, last day of September. The orthodox calendar app says it's the day of Faith, Love and Hope, big day. Friday, the after-work parties and all that buzz about the weekend, you cannot escape it, it's so lovely. Friday is date night and go-out night, so, for the first time in forever I have dressed up and I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go out, to the supermarket and beyond. No other place like the supermarket. Every good housewife knows this. And to think I was about to do the washing, I'll wait till 10, it's cheaper then. Got home early from the supermarket, even supermarkets aren't what they used to be... Anyway, I decided to make something sweet and found this scottish recipe about shortbread. Is this a recipe? Only butter, sugar and flour?! Where are the eggs, spices, coatings, chocolate, nuts...Aghrrhhhh. They should take a leaf from our Balkan book of recipes....Oh well, at least it's tasty. Oh, would you look at the time, 10, time to do the washing. TTL
