A lovely idea that went as spam
Some time ago I received an email about starting a recipe collective. The instructions were a bit complicated but the idea was simple. Namely, you write a recipe and send it to the last person on the list who send it to you and send the email explaining the idea to 20 of your friends (in Bcc, for privacy sake) then you added your name in the first place on the list or something like that. The point was to get 36 different recipes total.
As a foodie I loved the idea and almost immediately sent a recipe to the last person on the list and forwarded the letter to 20 of my friends. The person whom I sent my recipe to replied thrilled within few minutes. However, most of my friends scorned the idea and labeled it as spam. Nevertheless, I got one recipe on chicken breasts in beer and honey marinade with dried fruit and almonds. As it happens the recipe had to wait for some time before it was tried.
Today, I'm cooking chicken breasts in beer and honey marinade with vegetables and prunes. I had to change the recipe a bit (sorry). So far it looks and tastes nice. I just have to wait and see.
