My first curry

" Horse, horse ...my kingdom for a horse"

Recipe recipe....my cookbook for a good curry recipe.
Alas, if the mountain won't come to Mohamed, Mohamed will go to the mountain. After numerous futile attempts to get a friend of mine to teach me the secrets of making a delicious curry I had to resolve to less honorable methods such as theft. And shamelessly I stole the recipe and decided to cook it for someone I had never cooked for before.

Cooking the curry came as a wake up from hibernation. I hadn't cooked anything for some time, but somehow, at that point, I felt that I had to cook something new and different from Mediterranean cuisine. This impulsive decision to cook something was probably one of the best impulsive decisions in a long run. Off to buy the ingredients.
The basic ingredients are chicken, vegetables (peppers, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, carrots), yogurt and curry and other spices. As I was cutting the meat into pieces my friend enlightened me with some relationship issues that both of us weren't aware of and which obviously existed according to a glossy mag she found on my table. It was not before long when my friend gave up on the magazine and concluded that dicing the vegetables was more enlightening than the 10 ways how to get a guy in a bed.

I cooked the veggies in a wok until they softened and let them simmer for 10-15 minutes. The meat had already been in the fridge for 45 minutes soaking on the spices and yogurt. I fried the meat aside from the veggies until it turned golden-brown and then threw it in the wok with the rest of the veggies for couple of more minutes until the tastes evened out.

We set the table and dug into the curry. Yummy!
