Barbacue season
April has sprung itself. Green, flowery, magical, lovely. Everything is waking up from the winter slumber. The terrace is cleaned and the barbacue is awoken from its sleep. One by one the guests arrive bringing various treats. Pork chops, ribs, kebabs, chicken steaks, sausages....yummy. The fridge spreads out its content. Wine, beer, rakiya, freshly squeezed lemon juice, mineral water.
Get ready for the opening of the barbacue season. First comes the salad. There's a handsome bloke in the kitchen making the sallad, lettuce, cucumber and radishes, some cabbage on the side. We warm up with some rakiya and sallad. The barbacue is sizzling outside.A sneak peak and a kebab(che) is missig...mmmm...More salad and rakiya. A loud cheer "goooooaaaaaal". And the sound of crinkling glasses. Salad, rakiya and good talk. The hours pass by the meat is ready. Along comes the bread with oil and spices.
Out comes the wine and the meat. It is a chaos of greasy hands, wine, cheering and sounds of greatest pleasure.
